Helping Glenelg FC get back in the game

When Glenelg Football Club lost its grandstand roof in a horror Adelaide storm in December 2016 it also destroyed the club’s player facilities. With just weeks before the start of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), the club, which is almost 100 years old, was worried for its future. The damage brought the club to a virtual standstill.

QBE Insurance and Elders were there to provide support and guidance to the club as it grappled with the challenges of the damage and rebuilding. QBE Insurance used its extensive network of specialists and builders to come up with an innovative plan which delivered the best player facilities the club have ever had within a very tight timeframe.

“It took an astounding level of cooperation of all parties. It couldn’t have happened without fantastic client relationships with both QBE and Elders.” - Glenelg FC CEO Glenn Elliott.
