QBE claims team awarded top insurance honours by legal industry

QBE Insurance Australia (QBE) is proud to have been recognised at the Australasian Law Awards for the best Insurance In-house team of the Year.

QBE's Professional Indemnity (PI) claims team beat out strong competition to be awarded the honour at The Star, Sydney on Thursday night.

The team, which includes legally qualified lawyers and professionals with extensive claims experience, was judged on the quantity, quality, importance and innovativeness of their work during the 2015 calendar year.

QBE's Executive General Manager - Claims, George Katsogiannis, said: "We’re thrilled the efforts of our PI claims team have been recognised by the industry as best in field.

"Over the past 12 months we've been incredibly focused on delivering a customer-centric approach, and the team has prided itself on providing consistent service, proactive case management and outcomes that balance many different interests.

"This award is wonderful recognition of the hard work and professionalism of the team, their continued dedication to the customer, and strong collaboration with our underwriting colleagues and service providers."

QBE was selected as a finalist in the category following an extensive nomination process that began in January. Hundreds of nominations were received from the legal industry across Australia and New Zealand, with each then being subjected to an intensive research period.

Other finalists included AIG, Berkley, Chubb, Dual and Suncorp.
