Pat Regan

Pat Regan

Chief Executive Officer - Australia & New Zealand Operations and Acting Group Chief Financial Officer

Patrick Regan joined QBE in June 2014 in the role of Group Chief Financial Officer, becoming an executive director in October 2014 and Chief Executive Officer, Australian & New Zealand Operations in March 2017. He remains as Acting Group Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining QBE, Patrick was the Chief Financial Officer at Aviva plc in London from 2010 to 2014 with responsibility for finance, strategy, investor relations and mergers & acquisitions.

Patrick has more than 26 years of professional accounting experience of which nearly 20 years is in insurance and financial services. Patrick was previously the CFO/COO of Willis and has held several roles at RSA and AXA.

Mark Baxter

Chief Risk Officer

Mark is an experienced senior executive with more than 30 years global experience across insurance, banking, asset management and superannuation. Mark joined QBE in 2017 and is responsible for activities across our Enterprise Risk, Legal, Compliance and Government Relations & Industry Affairs. Prior to this, Mark was Prudential’s Chief Risk Officer for the UK and Europe and an Executive Committee Member. He was also responsible for the global financial risk and actuarial function across the UK, South Africa and North America with the Old Mutual Group and has held a number of executive positions at CBA and APRA.

Andrew Broughton

Executive General Manager - Consumer & Retail Partnerships

Andrew has more than 15 years’ experience in the insurance sector, in both Australia and the UK working across broker, agency and personal lines. He has a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service propositions and profitable growth. Andrew joined QBE in October 2016 after returning to Australia having been the Director, Commercial & Personal Broker Markets for Allianz UK. Andrew is responsible for our Direct, Travel, Elders, CTP, Motor Trades, LMI and Financial Institutions businesses.

Jason has more than 25 years’ experience in the general insurance industry, holding a variety of roles across Australia covering underwriting, distribution and senior management. The Intermediary Distribution business unit includes Australian Intermediaries, International Brokers, Workers Compensation, Underwriting Agencies, Aviation and Marine.

Tony Forward

Chief Information Officer

Tony has held a variety of leadership positions in his more than 20 years in financial services, including with BT Financial Group and Westpac Banking Corporation. As CIO Tony is responsible for all aspects of IT across Australia as well as the delivery of Group IT projects. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has significant governance experience in corporations and in charity and not-for-profit organisations.
Jon Fox

Executive General Manager - Claims

Jon has more than 25 years’ experience within the Australian insurance industry, including senior positions in claims, underwriting, distribution and general management

Jon joined Elders Insurance in 2002 to establish the company’s national claims capability. Promoted to GM Insurance Operations in 2005 he led the integration of Elders Insurance into QBE after its acquisition in 2009. Appointed General Manager Elders Insurance in late 2011 Jon has delivered strong results and the business has won a number of awards, including the Roy Morgan Business Insurer of the Year.

 

Jon is a director of several industry boards, including the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Sally Kincaid

Chief HR Officer

Sally has more than 23 years' experience across HR and Change Management, with a career spanning New Zealand, the UK and Australia. Prior to becoming Chief HR Officer, as a senior HR executive, Sally consulted to CEOs on the review and formulation of business operating models, business restructuring and transitional change management and senior team effectiveness. Sally was previously the Executive Director of People & Performance at ING Australia where she led the people integration of INGA (now One Path) into ANZ.
Declan Moore

Declan Moore

Chief Underwriting Officer

Declan Moore was appointed Chief Underwriting Officer, QBE Australia & New Zealand in August 2016. He has 25 years of insurance experience, with six years at QBE Australia as Head of Actuarial Pricing and then as Operations Manager NSW/ACT where he managed the Underwriting, Finance, and support functions. Declan re-joined the QBE Group in 2011 and prior to his current role, was appointed Group Chief Actuary in 2012.

Declan has previously worked as a general insurance consultant for Trowbridge Consulting in Sydney and Towers Watson in Dublin.

Bettina Pidcock

Chief Customer Officer

Bettina joined QBE as Executive General Manager – Marketing in 2016, bringing a depth of customer-focused marketing experience from leadership positions at ANZ, TAL, BT Financial Group, St George Bank, Westpac and MLC. 

In 2017 Bettina was appointed to Chief Customer Officer (CCO) to cement work undertaken to increase customer focus and spearhead an expanded customer experience capability. The role’s remit also includes leadership of the marketing, communications and digital functions of the business, taking responsibility for championing and enhancing the QBE brand and its assets. Notably, and testament to her leadership skills and customer focus, Bettina is QBE’s first CCO.

MBA qualified, Bettina holds more than 20 years’ business experience and a solid track record increasing engagement and sales through a focus on innovative strategies and data-led insights.

Steven joined QBE in 2005 and has worked in a number of business units, driving process improvement and change. The Transformation business unit brings together key specialists from throughout the organisation to align and drive strategy and promote innovation to deliver improved outcomes for our customers.

Inder Singh

Chief Financial Officer

Inder became the Chief Financial Officer of QBE Australia & New Zealand in 2017 and oversees financial planning, reporting & analytics, performance management, strategic projects, actuarial, financial governance and taxation. Inder joined QBE in January 2015 as Group Head of Corporate Development & FP&A with responsibility for group-wide planning, performance management, decision support and M&A. Inder has 20 years’ experience in financial services spanning Property & Casualty, Life Insurance, Asset Management and Banking. He started his career at Arthur Anderson before working in Investment Banking in Australia, Asia, UK & Europe with Deutsche Bank and UBS. Prior to joining QBE, he was Group M&A Director at Aviva plc in London where he led a number of transformational transactions.

Phil White

Chief Executive Officer, QBE LMI

Phil is a senior executive with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of insurance, credit risk and the property market, gained from more than 20 years’ experience in management consulting and leadership roles.

Since joining QBE in 2006, Phil has held variety of senior leadership positions including Head of Strategy and Distribution, Head of Financial Institution General Insurance, Head of Capital Markets and Structured Transactions and Principal New Business Ventures.

Before joining QBE, Phil spent ten years as a management consultant working across Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia and spent a significant part of his career specialising in the UK commercial property market.

Phil is also Director of QBE Mortgage Insurance (Asia) Limited.
