The QBE Foundation assists the communities we support through charity partnerships, donations and volunteering.
The QBE Foundation is a global initiative to help us give back to the communities in which we operate. Launched in 2011 to mark our 125th anniversary year, the Foundation formalises QBE’s long history of community involvement and corporate giving into a structured, global approach.
Our core philosophy is to ‘Help people overcome disadvantage, strengthen their abilities and live more independently, successfully and productively.’
QBE Australia and New Zealand supports the community through volunteering and also provides philanthropic support.
Each year we form partnerships with a number of charities who we then work closely with in an effort to make a more significant and meaningful impact on their cause. Our 2015/16 charity partners include: The Kids’ Cancer Project, Guide Dogs Australia, Camp Quality, The Big Issue and Brainwave Australia.
Our charity partner applications are now closed for 2017. Applications will open again in July 2017.
Representatives of registered charities who would like to apply to become a QBE Foundation charity partner are invited to complete an application form and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Other ways of helping
The QBE Foundation also encourages our people to do their bit. QBE employees receive a day of volunteer leave each year. They can also apply on behalf of an eligible charity to receive a local grant donation or apply to have their personal fundraising efforts matched dollar for dollar.
Our Workplace Giving program allows our people to make regular contributions through the QBE Foundation and help those in need.
