Underwriter (NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA)

As an Underwriter, your role is to understand and analyse risk, develop realistic price models and market your risk plans to your customers. To be successful in this role, you’ll have strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills, sound business acumen, resilience, and most importantly, be committed to delivering excellence for your customers. Claims (NSW, SA)
About the role
QBE is seeking passionate, resilient graduates with strong analytical skills to join our exciting Claims team. These roles are open to candidates who are interested in discovering how they can apply their degrees to the finance and insurance industry.
A Claims graduate position would suit someone who is mature, compassionate and committed to understanding customer needs, as customers making insurance claims are often experiencing difficult life circumstances. Ideally, you will be proactive, flexible and motivated by building relationships.
These roles will offer significant work from the first rotation. You’ll strengthen your interpersonal skills, gain a comprehensive understanding of the Claims process, and be exposed to a 360-degree view of how Claims fits within the insurance industry more broadly. You’ll have the opportunity to network, conduct data analysis and investigate and manage Claims processes, while working with a diverse range of teams. We’re seeking graduates who have completed a degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Finance, Accounting, Law, Science, or a Health Discipline (inc. Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Allied Health).

Assistant Business Relationship Manager (NSW, VIC, SA, WA)
About the role
QBE is seeking graduates with exceptional people skills and customer service focus for these roles. As an Assistant Business Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships between QBE and their valued customers. You will need to employ your consultative and influencing skills in this sales-focused role, to assertively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. There is a clear focus on understanding market segmentation and trends, so you will need to keep up to date with the changing market. We can offer you the opportunity to receive broad exposure to all aspects of our business, with great succession planning. You will be supported within a strong team, and will have a high level of interaction with managers, coaches and buddies. Successful graduates will be collaborative, have strong analytical and reasoning skills, and sound business acumen. Customer service experience would be highly regarded. IT Infrastructure: Service Management Specialist (NSW)
About the role
QBE Group is seeking a graduate with exceptional technical and customer service skills for this role. The position will operate in the Service Management space, meaning you will be involved in incident management, change management and reporting, and will work with data centres, systems frameworks and infrastructure. Your goal will be to deliver outstanding customer service to our internal and external customers by using IT systems to reduce risk. Consequently, you will need to communicate effectively with a range of different audiences on all levels, using technical and non-technical language.
The successful graduate will be resilient, proactive, able to think on their feet, and process-driven. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) language would be advantageous, but isn’t essential, and it would help to have a good understanding of software and various systems. This role wouldn’t be suited to graduates who are seeking a specific application coding role. IT Infrastructure: Junior LAN Specialist (NSW)

QBE Group is seeking a technology and systems-savvy graduate who enjoys solving problems and working directly with customers. This Junior Local Area Network (LAN) Specialist role is within the Workplace Services team and will enable you to work with innovative new technology and tools.
You’ll be involved in a wide range of activities working with devices, program configuration, email and operating systems, messaging and collaboration, and various software tools.
We have a strong focus on delivering excellence for our customers and our successful candidate will be a graduate with a customer-centric attitude. At times you will be required to work autonomously to manage your time and workload, so we are seeking someone with the ability to be accountable and take ownership of their responsibilities.
We’re seeking graduates who have completed a degree in IT, Technology, Science or Engineering.
IT Infrastructure: Junior Storage Specialist (NSW)
About the role
QBE Group is seeking an innovative, committed graduate who enjoys problem solving for this Junior Storage Specialist role. Experience with general computer systems, servers, scripting and storage would be advantageous for this position, as would experience in Unix and/or Linux systems. You’ll require the ability to apply your programming and/or scripting knowledge to storage.
Storage utilisation is growing at a rapid rate (as are its underlying technologies); consequently, we can offer you great growth opportunities in this hands-on, collaborative team environment.
The successful candidate will be able to show initiative and effectively self-manage their time and responsibilities. Strong written communication skills are also essential. We’re seeking graduates who have completed a degree in IT, or a double degree in IT with another discipline e.g. Business, Commerce, Management.
IT Infrastructure: Business Operations Analyst (NSW)

QBE Group is seeking an analytical, forward-thinking graduate for this business analytics-based role. This role will suit someone who is highly motivated to pursue a career specifically in financial management and business operations. Reporting to the head of Business Operations, you will be supporting the global team to manage a range of activities across financial management and analysis, strategy, process improvement initiatives, budget and forecast analysis, trends and costs, reporting and data mining. We operate in a constantly changing environment, so you’ll need to thrive on variety and be able to meet fast-paced demands. QBE is excited to invest in this graduate’s career progression long-term and, dependent on performance, there is the potential for international secondments in this position. This team is highly supportive, and while you may be required to work independently at times, there is a highly collaborative team culture.
