Effective Consultation and Risk Management

This course is designed for health and safety reps and health and safety committee (HSC) members who do not require the WorkCover 5 day health and safety representative’s (HSR) course. It is also recommended for all line managers where health and safety is part of their daily responsibilities.
Participants will learn about:
• Work Health & Safety legislation including responsibilities of duty holders and WorkCover
• Role functions of HSR’s and HSC’s
• Consultation in the workplace, including effective communication & conduct of meetings
• Risk management
• Workplace inspections
• Incident reporting and investigations including notifiable incidents
• Systems to address WHS legislation and HSR/HSC’s and managers involvement
Who should attend?
Health and safety reps and health and safety committee members and all line managers where health and safety is part of their daily responsibilities.
