Who needs a workers compensation insurance policy?
It is compulsory for any employer in the Northern Territory to take out a workers compensation insurance policy if:
you employ a person who provides work or service and does not provide an Australian Business Number (ABN) in writing, or
you are based outside of the Northern Territory and have a person providing work or service within the Northern Territory and that person does not provide you with an ABN in writing.
