Taking Out A Policy

Workers Compensation Insurance

How to obtain cover

You can request a workers compensation insurance policy by taking the following steps:

  • Complete a Workers Compensation Insurance Proposal. This proposal can either be completed by you or your broker/intermediary.
  • Return the proposal to QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited, PO Box 1207, Auburn NSW 1835.
  • Based on your completed insurance proposal, QBE will proceed with your insurance.
Transferring your cover to QBE

When it's time to renew your policy, you can transfer your workers compensation cover to QBE by taking the following steps:

  • Prior to your current policy's expiry date, inform your existing insurer in writing that you wish to cancel the policy. Unless your existing insurer receives this written confirmation, they are required by law to renew your workers compensation policy upon expiry.
  • Request a new policy for workers compensation insurance with QBE by completing a Workers Compensation Insurance Proposal.
