Builders Warranty is currently a voluntary scheme in Tasmania and any purchase of coverage is at the discretion of the consumer.

QBE will not renew or offer any new Builders Warranty insurance policies from 1 July 2008, following the Tasmanian Government’s announcement of changes to the Housing Indemnity Act 1992.
