Recent changes to Builders Warranty Insurance

QBE is currently in discussions with the Victorian Government following an announcement that it will take over domestic builders warranty insurance in the local market from 31 March 2010.
QBE, as one of the two remaining companies providing this cover in the Victorian market, is currently working with the state government to understand the impact of this decision and how it may affect our intermediary partners.
QBE is also working closely with other state governments and will continue to provide Builders Warranty Insurance to any applicant that meets QBE’s underwriting standards.
