QBE broker portal wins best ebusiness product award

QBE Insurance’s online portal for brokers, c.change, has been announced the winner of the 2010 Australian Business Award for Best eBusiness Product.

This category recognises products that demonstrate innovative and strategic application of the internet, communications and information technology.

Colin Fagen, Executive General Manager – Intermediary Distribution at QBE Australia, said c.change was at the forefront of QBE’s intelligent eBusiness solutions, which continually strived to meet and cater to the ever-changing needs of the market.

“c.change provides a solution for the full policy lifecycle. This system demonstrates QBE’s high emphasis on customer care, keeping customers informed from initial contact right up to final payment,” Mr Fagen said.

“We understand speed to market is of the utmost importance. By making it easier to do business with QBE, c.change frees up time for broker intermediaries to focus on adding value to their own business.”

c.change is QBE’s proprietary web portal, used by brokers to manage their clients’ risks and policies with efficiency and ease, and to drive competitive advantage. Users of c.change can process a wide range of QBE products in real time – at anytime and from anywhere. The online tool also features a built in referral system and an interactive training module, designed for the end user.

There has been exponential growth in the number of claims lodged through c.change since its release, as it removes much of the hard work involved in what was previously a manual process.

Tara Johnston, Program Director at the Australian Business Awards, said the standard of entries for 2010 has underpinned the strength of the Australian economy and provides a welcome opportunity for organisations committed to business and product excellence to receive the recognition they deserve.

“This award recognises QBE as an industry leader for the creation and development of c.change and honours its professional contributions to the industry as a whole,” she said.
The Australian Business Awards’ national awards program honours organisations across all sectors that demonstrate business excellence, product excellence, sustainability and commercial success in their respective industries. Entries are judged on specific criteria including success and innovation.
