Throughout its long history, QBE has played an active role in the communities in which it operates. To mark its 125th anniversary year in 2011, QBE launched The QBE Foundation, a corporate responsibility initiative that formalises QBE’s long history of corporate giving into a structured, Group-wide approach.
The QBE Foundation supports charities that help people overcome disadvantage, strengthen their abilities, and live more independently, successfully and productively.
The objectives of the Foundation are:
QBE’s corporate responsibility mirrors our insurance role in the community where we are uniquely placed to assist people when they find themselves in need through accident or misadventure.
At QBE, we believe it is important to give back to the communities in which we operate. And the Foundation gives us a platform from which to do this with a co-ordinated approach to grants, employee matching, workplace giving and volunteering opportunities.
The QBE Foundation supports charitable organisations through the provision of direct discretionary grants. Grants are provided to charities that align with our philosophy and meet our objectives.
To be considered for a grant, charitable organisations must be a registered charity and will need to complete an application for a divisional grant. This application form requests details about the charitable organisation, their funding sources, and the project for which they are seeking a grant.
Applications can be submitted to the QBE Foundation at firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis by the Australia and New Zealand Divisional Committee.
