In 2009, QBE acquired 100% of the shareholding in Elders Insurance Limited as well as 75% of the insurance agency business, Elders Insurance Agency.
Elders Insurance was established in the late 1800s and is one of Australia's largest regional and rural insurers. Elders provides local service and solutions through its presence in over 160 towns and cities throughout Australia.
Elders Insurance Agents live and work in their local communities, and offer a broad range of specialist insurance services including Farm Insurance; Business Insurance; Home, Motor or Boat Insurance; Landlords Insurance and Commercial Motor Insurance.
